Abstract

Chronic conditions including sleep apnea, diabetes, and heart disease necessitate continual monitoring of vital indicators, which is sometimes only available in a hospital. Comprehensive vital sign monitoring in an outpatient setting is now achievable thanks to recent technological advancements. Various monitoring devices are available that measure vital signs such as heart rate, oxygen saturation, respiration rate, blood pressure, and temperature in an outpatient setting with minimal constraints on the patient’s typical lifestyle. Testing is an important part of the product development cycle since it detects any faults or defects before the product is delivered to the customer, ensuring product quality. This study presents a way for validating the various functionalities of vital sign monitoring platforms.
