Abstract
Project management in building construction involves the application of
knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to effectively plan, execute, and complete construction
projects within scope, time, cost, and quality constraints. It ensures efficient resource utilization,
risk mitigation, and stakeholder coordination to achieve project success. Effective project
management in building construction is essential for ensuring timely completion, cost efficiency,
and high-quality execution. This paper explores key strategies for successful project
management, including detailed project planning, cost estimation, resource allocation, and risk
management. The use of modern scheduling tools like Primavera P6 and MS Project enhances
efficiency, while techniques such as the Critical Path Method (CPM) aid in optimizing
workflows. Additionally, quality control measures, safety compliance, and effective
communication between stakeholders play a crucial role in minimizing delays and maximizing
productivity. By integrating advanced project management methodologies and adopting digital
tools like Building Information Modeling (BIM), construction projects can achieve enhanced
coordination, reduced risks, and improved overall performance. This study highlights best
practices and innovative approaches that contribute to the success of building construction
projects. Construction and Execution phase, emphasizing the importance of mobilization,
scheduling, resource management, quality control, safety, and change management in the
successful delivery of a project. Each of these elements plays a crucial role in ensuring that the
project meets its goals regarding cost, time, and quality. The case studies illustrate the
application of these strategies in both residential and commercial building projects, providing
practical insights into how these strategies can be implemented effectively in real-world
scenarios.
